Prejudice engineering
Prejudice engineering
An unmotivated judgment that precedes real knowledge. It is based on the fears and phobias of the individual, the fear of the different, of what we do not know. The reason for this unaware and automatic fear of what we do not know has deep roots that date back to the evolution of the human and animal species. We find ourselves dealing with the need to protect our social group as a drive towards survival. Prejudice influences decisions made in many fields. Our perception of others is deeply rooted in mechanisms that are difficult to control: automatisms that reflect the principles we believe in, instinctive emotional reactions that we express, associated with our cultural models. The engineering of prejudice represented by this painting opens decisive and concrete gates to the true knowledge of things and overcomes prejudice in an almost scientific way. And ….. the engineering? Engineers are fantastic forward thinkers – anticipating problems and issues that may arise in the future.
